Public Cupping/Tasting Sessions

A series of public tasting sessions at Seven Seeds Carlton. Taste our menu through different mediums- cupping, filter comparisons & brewing and even chocolate from our friends Birdsnake Chocolate. Check the calendar below to plan your trip.

Cuppings

Our roastery team will complete a cupping of our seasonal coffee menu in a slightly amended format. It's not as intimidating as it sounds! We encourage every new and experienced cupper to grab a spoon and have a slurp.

Filter Brewing

The barista leading the class will rotate between brew methods, focus on different techniques and explain things that could go astray when making coffee at home. You'll be trying coffees from the Seven Seeds menu.

Chocolate by Birdsnake

Friends at Birdsnake Chocolate are going to dazzle you with a tasting of their single origin chocolates. Learn about cacao varieties, origins & chocolate making from this new Melbourne based company.

PAST DONATIONS

WFWIA

Women for Women In Africa is an Australian Not-for-Profit Charity that was started in 2004. WFWIA works with the women and children of Kibera,  East Africa’s largest slum and one of the largest in the world, by providing education and resources to enable them to live a life of dignity, happiness and hope for the future.

Women for Women in Africa has evolved from its initial starting point of helping just women, to a more dominant purpose of helping to educate children from Kibera who otherwise would not have any schooling.

Here at Seven Seeds, we buy a fair amount of coffee from Africa, in particular, Kenya and we felt this was a great cause to get behind and support.
