ABOUT

We love when Ethiopian season rolls around. Seven Seeds has been sourcing coffee from the woredas (districts) around Jimma for the past five years, and we’re proud again to bring you this coffee from the Yachi Kachise Cooperative. As of 2016, Yachi Kachise is represented through the regional union Kata Maduga. Indicative of these woredas, their coffee have complex fruit flavour profile & clean citric acidity.

We believe in the future of coffee so we’re publishing the price we pay for coffee, so farmers don’t need to turn to other crops. We’ve listed the FOB (Freight on Board) price we paid to the exporter. We weren’t able to get the breakdown of Farmgate pricing before publication in this instance. On top of FOB, this coffee was shipped to Melbourne, quality assessments completed, roasted (resulting in a 15% weight loss), & retailed, adding significant costs. You can read more about the way we source coffee via our website.
