Hunapu takes it’s name from the largest of three volcanoes in Antigua, named by the locals (Cackchiquel tribe). This coffee has adopted the name Hunapu because the volcano can be seen from all of the areas in which it is grown. This is yet another coffee collected and processed at Luis Pedro Zelaya’s family mill, Bella Vista, who we have purchased numerous coffees from before. For the past five years all the producers were given technical assistance by Zelaya to improve their productivity, quality and transparency.
