This tiny micro-lot from producer Roger Quispe is the epitome of high quality, single estate, single varietal goodness. It's the complete opposite of what we might traditionally expect from Peruvian coffee. Produced by a passionate smallholder & contributor to the specialty industry, coffees like this don't come by every day. Seven Seeds purchased all of Roger's Caturra, just 100kg in total.

Finca Cedro Quemado is located in the mountainous provence of San Ignacio, Cajamarca. Roger Quispe grows Caturra, Typica, and a small amount of Catimor on the 14 acres of land he purchased 20 years ago. Harvest is always a busy time of year between April and November, a fairly lengthy stretch compared with most harvest periods of around three months. This is due to the slow ripening of cherries which makes for great complexity and depth of flavour, but slow going if you happen to be a picker!

Roasted light and bright, we're finding sugar cane sweetness, sparkly acids, and crystal-clear clarity. This stunning filter brew will not be available for long!

ROASTING SCHEDULE

We roast three days a week; Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The cut off time to be included in the day's roast is 7:30 AM (AEST) that morning. We dispatch the business day after the coffee is roasted. So if your coffee is roasted on Monday, our freight carriers will pick it up from us on Tuesday.

We are closed on public holidays and weekends; our roast and dispatch schedule will shift to the next business day.
