How long will my order take to ship?
We aim to dispatch all online orders within 48 hours, however this varies for domestic vs international.
Domestic (Melbourne --> the rest of Australia)
We roast to order and ship Monday – Friday.
All shipping is with Star Track Courier. Please allow 1 – 3 days for delivery.
You will receive a tracking number via email from Star Track when your order is dispatched. Please ensure you enter a valid email address.
All parcels are marked as 'Authority to Leave'. If you do not want this selection made, leave a comment in the comments section at checkout advising so. Please keep in mind that if no one is home to sign for the parcel, it may be delivered to your nearest Australia Post office or returned to Seven Seeds.
International (Melbourne --> most countries)
We roast to order and ship once a week, on Wednesdays.
Orders received after 12pm on Tuesdays may not ship until the following week.
All shipping is with Australia Post Express Courier.
Please allow 2 - 5 days for delivery.
You will receive a tracking number from Australia Post when the order is dispatched. Please ensure you enter a valid email address.
Please note there can be service disruptions; which Seven Seeds cannot bear responsibility for. It is your responsibility to provide a secure and attended delivery address.
We do not ship on public holidays or weekends.
Do you ship outside of Australia?
We’ve recently opened up to international shipping – hooray!
All international orders ship on Wednesdays.
It’s important to note that posting overseas is pretty expensive and import taxes are the responsibility of the customer - it is up to the customer to find out what these costs may entail.
How long does your coffee last from the time I purchase it?
Optimal drinking time is within 21 days of the roast date.
We currently roast Monday – Friday and ship domestic orders daily but ship international orders every Thursday.
What is your return policy?
For coffee purchases
Please note, we place a large emphasis on quality control. Our roasters cup and score our production roasts daily, which means only coffee that meets our strict quality standards will make it out the door. With this in mind, we cannot guarantee refunds on coffee purchases.
If you have purchased coffee beans from Seven Seeds and are not satisfied or if you have purchased a coffee subscription and wish to cancel the remainder due to dissatisfaction, please email email@example.com.
For merchandise and brew gear purchases
If merchandise, apparel, and/or brew equipment is broken or defective upon arrival, you may return or exchange the product within 7 days from purchase.
If you want to make a return on merchandise, apparel, and/or brew equipment that is not broken or defective, the product must be unused, in its' original packaging and within 7 days from purchase. If we receive the product and it appears to be used you will not be refunded.
Seven Seeds does not cover the return shipping cost for the product. For international packages, we are willing to replace merchandise damaged in transit. However, we would need the damaged goods returned and unfortunately we cannot cover the shipping costs. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and someone from our team will get back to you with further information.
Oops, I made a mistake with my order. Can my order be changed or cancelled?
In some circumstances - yes. However, please note that we roast to order and changes made 18 -24hrs after you have placed the order may be tricky to cancel.

Is your coffee Fair Trade?
Our coffee does not carry the fair trade certification, however, we source on a Direct Trade basis. The coffee we purchase is sourced direct from farmers and co-operatives by our very own roasters who regularly travel to origin. Seven Seeds develops a direct relationship with producers, negotiating individual terms and prices (and cuts out the middle man or agencies).
In reality, it’s a little more complicated, but the idea is that a fair price is agreed on between both parties and the growers receive considerably more money for their product by reducing the supply chain.
Is your coffee organic?
Our main focus is taste, quality & clarity – which is ultimately the result of careful and sustainable farming practices. Although some of our coffees may be organic, we do not advertise our coffee as being so.

I’d love to work at Seven Seeds or one of your cafes, how do I apply?
We generally post job vacancies on our instagram account @7seedscoffee but feel free to drop your resume off to any of our cafes and we will be in touch should a position open up.
When are your public cuppings, and what are they?
We offer weekly public cuppings every Friday 9am at Seven Seeds – 114 Berkeley Street, Carlton.
We take a $4 fee where 100% is donated to an organisation called Street Wise, head here to learn more.
These are run on a walk-in basis (no reservations) and are limited to 10 people per session.
We recommend arriving 10 – 15mins beforehand to secure a spot.
Coffee cupping is a practise used by coffee buyers and roasters to taste and score coffees side by side. It's also a great way to develop your palate and breakdown aspects of the coffee's taste. Typically, seasoned cuppers will be assessing body, sweetness, acidity and overall flavour.
What will you be doing?
Each session is hosted by a Seven Seeds coffee roaster who will run through the cupping process and together the group will learn about and appreciate the chosen coffees of the day (generally 5-8 coffees).
Do you also serve food in your cafes?
Seven Seeds Carlton runs a full menu served from open – 3pm daily. You can view our current menu at the bottom of this page.
Hortus x Seven Seeds in the Docklands has a small offering of toast, sandwiches, salads, pastries and cakes - until sold out.
Baba Budan and Traveller work with a select group of bakers and offer a range of sweet and savoury treats daily - until sold out.
Do you take bookings at your cafes?
We run on a walk-in basis and do not take any bookings or reservations.
