Roasting Schedule

We roast three days a week; Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  The cut off time for orders to be included in a daily roast is 7:30AM (AEDT) that morning.

Orders are dispatched the business day after they are roasted.  So if your coffee is roasted on Monday, our freight carriers will pick it up from us on the Tuesday.

Friday's roast is held here at HQ for dispatch on Monday, safe from spending the weekend in vans or depots.

We do not ship on public holidays or weekends.  

 

Domestic Shipping

Melbourne Metro
The Xpress To You courier service delivers to Metro Melbourne locations within 1-2 working days after dispatch. This option will appear at checkout if your postcode falls within their service area.

Xpress To You will leave your order somewhere safe if Authority To Leave is provided, otherwise they will make a second delivery attempt before returning the order to us.  They do not have a collection point for undeliverable parcels. Please choose Australia Post if you require the option to collect from a local post office.

Australia-Wide
Domestic orders are shipped using Australia Post Parcel Post and Express Post. Delivery times are subject to Australia Post's current advice which can be found here. As of January 2022, Express Post is still treated with priority however there is no next-day guarantee.

Tracking and Delivery
Your tracking number will be emailed to you directly from the shipping partner when your order is dispatched. Please ensure you provide a valid email address and contact number.

All parcels are marked as 'Authority to Leave'. If you do not want this selection made, leave a comment in the comments section at checkout advising so. Please keep in mind that if no one is home to sign for the parcel, it may be delivered to your nearest parcel collection point or returned to Seven Seeds. 

International Shipping

We currently deliver to the following international locations;

Bahrain,  Canada,  China,  France,  Germany,  Hong Kong,  Indonesia,  Israel,  Italy,  Japan,  Jordan,  Kuwait,  Macao,  Malaysia,  Netherlands,  New Zealand,  Norway,  Philippines,  Qatar,  Saudi Arabia,  Singapore,  Sweden,  Switzerland,  Taiwan,  Thailand,  United Arab Emirates,  United States.

Delivery times are subject to Australia Post's current advice which can be found here, please refer to the Standard Parcel timeframes. Please note there can be service disruptions for which Seven Seeds cannot bear responsibility. It is your responsibility to provide a secure and attended delivery address.

You will receive a tracking number from Australia Post when the order is dispatched. Please ensure you enter a valid email address.

DHL Express
DHL Express is available to certain locations, in most cases delivered within 2-4 working days after dispatch. Premium rates apply to this service.  If you require a faster shipping option and DHL does not appear at checkout for your location, please contact us at shop@sevenseeds.com.au

 

How does delivery and freight time impact the quality of my coffee beans?

Fresh is sometimes, counter-intuitively, too fresh. We’ve found the best window to brew espresso roasted coffee is actually 10-20 days after roast or 5-25 days for filter brews. And, importantly coffee continues to be optimal for at least 30 days after roast, up to as long as 6 weeks from the roast date.  Read more about coffee freshness. 

With this in mind, you will still have plenty of time to enjoy your coffee after it has completed its journey from us to you.

While we do ask our freight partners to take care, we also recommend ensuring there is a safe space, out of direct sunlight, for any orders sent with Authority to Leave.

Freight delays 

Once your order has been collected by the chosen freight carrier, delivery times are outside of our control.  We are unable to refund or replace items that are delayed during transit If the order is declared lost or missing, we will refund or replace it.
