Mark Dundon and producer Erwin Mierisch re-purposed the abandoned farm into a fertile space dedicated to producing unique and heirloom coffee varietals. Success followed, with Santa Lucia Gesha winning the Honduras Cup of Excellence in 2019 and 2021 and placing second in 2022.
This year's release combines the two Gesha varietals grown at Santa Lucia; the now-famous, award-winning Casona and the younger, more recently established Triangulo. The two make for a harmonious combination; the classic Gesha florals of the Casona are invigorated by the Trianglo's youthful, energetic acidity and crisp, nuanced finish.
Seven Seeds has showcased the Santa Lucia Gesha since 2019 as the only coffee roaster in Australia with access to this exceptional coffee. Each year has offered us the unique opportunity to experience a coffee that tells the story of a fantastic farm and the harvest it has experienced. 2022 is no exception, and it is our pleasure to bring you Santa Lucia Gesha for a fourth consecutive year.
