Although renowned for its breathtaking mountain landscapes, Nariño is even more celebrated in the coffee world for its exceptional soil and climate conditions. The region is blessed with nutrient‑rich earth, thanks to the volcanoes that surround it. One of the most prominent is Galeras, which overlooks Pasto, the capital of Nariño, and extends into the municipality of Consacá. Galeras plays a central role in the life of the region and is often referred to as Taita—a term from the Indigenous communities of Nariño, such as the Quillacingas, used to describe a spiritual leader and guide devoted to the well‑being of the community.

This season’s Taita is a heady expression of tropical fruits and honeyed texture—a delicious reminder of just how impressive Colombia’s regional blends can be. Refreshing, vibrant, and bursting with summertime fruit character, it’s a cup that truly captures the spirit of the region.

Transparency

2018 marked a statement of intent for us, to ensure that people growing exceptional coffee are still doing so in decades to come.

We started publishing the price we pay to producers exposing the traceability they deserve and discerning drinkers' demand as the new norm. We refer to the most direct payment as ‘Farmgate’.

We’re proud we can publish this for our single origins and house blends.

Seven Seeds has been involved with the Speciality Coffee Transaction Guide as data donors for the past five years. We have signed 'The Pledge', a commitment to transparency in coffee trading.

Roasting and Shipping

We roast our coffee from Monday to Friday, but not every type each day. We aim to ship orders within 1-2 business days.

Roasted coffee reaches it's peak 5-14 days after roasting and stays fresh for up to 30 days. We may send coffee roasted a few days earlier.

The Roastery and Head Office are closed on weekends and public holidays; we do not roast or ship these days.

Thanks for understanding and happy brewing!
