Relationships have always been central to Seven Seeds’ sourcing model. In 2022, we set out to build a new long-term partnership with a producer who shared our commitment to quality and transparency. Willyan Zambrano and his wife Maria fit the bill perfectly, producing exceptional Pink Bourbon with consistency and care. This marks the fifth time we’ve featured their coffee on our single-origin menu, and it has firmly cemented its place as a crowd favourite.

Consistently one of our most delicious releases, Willyan’s Pink Bourbon is a heady interplay of fruit, texture, and acidity. In a landscape increasingly shaped by extended and experimental fermentation, it’s refreshing to showcase a coffee from the other end of the spectrum - one grown with utmost care and attention and processed with minimal intervention.  The natural, inherent flavours of the coffee shine through brightly in the cup.

Now in the fourth year of our partnership, we’ve purchased the majority of Willyan’s Pink Bourbon each harvest, and with this release, we take the next step forward in this relationship.

Every purchase of this coffee — whether by the bag or brewed in our cafes — contributes to an additional 15% payment, sent directly to Willyan and Maria on top of the price already paid. Facilitated through our long-term partners at Caravela, this is part of a prosperity pricing model designed to strengthen relationships between roasters and producers.

Transparency

2018 marked a statement of intent for us, to ensure that people growing exceptional coffee are still doing so in decades to come. 

We started publishing the price we pay to producers exposing the traceability they deserve and discerning drinkers' demand as the new norm. We refer to the most direct payment as ‘Farmgate’.

We’re proud we can publish this for our single origins and house blends.

Seven Seeds has been involved with the Speciality Coffee Transaction Guide as data donors for the past five years. We have signed 'The Pledge', a commitment to transparency in coffee trading.

Roasting and Shipping

We roast our coffee from Monday to Friday, but not every type each day. We aim to ship orders within 1-2 business days.

Roasted coffee reaches it's peak 5-14 days after roasting and stays fresh for up to 30 days. We may send coffee roasted a few days earlier.

The Roastery and Head Office are closed on weekends and public holidays; we do not roast or ship these days.

We offer Standard and Express shipping via Australia Post. Orders over $85 include free Standard shipping.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have concerns about your delivery, but please understand that we cannot control what happens once your order leaves the Roastery. Once the package is with Australia Post, it is out of our hands.

We do not refund or send replacements for orders delayed during transit.

If Australia Post determines that the order has been lost in transit, we can offer you a refund or a replacement.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

The customer is responsible for paying any customs, duties or taxes associated with international freight. We will not refund or replace any orders delayed or rejected by local customs authorities.
