New Release: Mustefa Abalulessa, Ethiopia

It has been a massive week here at Seven Seeds, following the release of our FY 2021-22 Impact Report and a guest spot brewing up the goods at the Melbourne International Coffee Expo (if you’re attending - we’ll be there this Friday, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm). All of this on the back of a long weekend! We’re keeping the same energetic vibe going with a punchy new single-origin espresso; introducing Mustefa Abalulessa, Ethiopia.

Our Single Origin coffee subscribers had a sneak peek of the Mustefa Abalulessa earlier in the month, and now we’re excited to add it to our espresso menu officially. A classic coffee from the Oromia region, you’ll find it bursts with flavour notes of honeycomb, soft tropicals, and baked apple sweetness.

There are over two million smallholder coffee farmers in Ethiopia, but there is only one Mustefa Abalulessa. He is considered an industry pioneer and community leader in the region, where he provides coffee seeds and support to the local coffee industry. 2022 is our second year buying coffee directly from producer Mustefa, as we wanted to further invest in the relationships we built last year with our sourcing strategy in Ethiopia this season. It is incredibly satisfying to feature this stunning coffee once again.
