This release marks the sixth time we have featured this lot during our five year partnership. Starting in 2022, our goal was to establish a longterm, mutually beneficial partnership with a producer who shared a similar passion for outstanding coffee.
In an ever changing landscape of extended, experimental fermentation, it is fantastic to have a coffee representing the other side of the spectrum. One that is grown with the up most care and attention. Processed with minimal intervention, allowing the inherent flavours to shine through.
This lot is straight out of Pitalito, Hulia, where Willyan and his wife Maria Esther Lopez, produce exquisite coffees on their farm; La Montañita. Most of what they grow is Pink Bourbon. A variety native to Colombia, specifically Huila.
