Fredy Perez, Honduras, returns to Seven Seeds for a second year with an incredible espresso conjuring up American diner-style vibes; think pancakes and syrup, hot coffee and freshly baked pie.

When Seven Seeds first purchased from Fredy in 2022, the up-and-coming producer had started making a name for himself and the relatively young coffee-producing region of San Andres. This year, Fredy, his wife Glenis and their family's hard work have paid off, placing 14th at the 2023 Honduras Cup of Excellence.

In coffee terms, San Andres, southwest of Honduras, is a relatively youthful region, with most coffee production not starting here until the 90s. Considered an unknown a few short years ago, coffee from this region has now made the industry sit up and take notice.

Fredy now has plans to expand the drying area for his wet mill, and, with support from our origin sourcing partners, San Vicente, he continues training with keen interest and commitment to improving his coffee processing techniques.
