New Release | Evin Moreno, Geisha, Honduras – Seven Seeds

Our final Honduran release of the season brings a clean, complex Geisha from Evin Moreno. With delicate notes of stonefruit and tropical punch, this limited-release micro-lot is a refined way to carry the last warmth of summer into the cooler weeks ahead.

Evin is an exceptional producer from Santa Barbara, Honduras. This year marks our fifth in partnership with him and his wife, Alma, though this is the first year of purchasing his Geisha. Together, Evin and Alma are producing some of the most thought-provoking coffees in the region.

During the last harvest, Seven Seeds co-owner, Mark, and Head of Procurement, Ryan, had the privilege of visiting Evin, Alma, and their family. This was a remarkable opportunity to gain insight into their approach to producing their outstanding lots.

Ahead of this release, Ryan reflected back on the Honduras trip;

'The final moments of our day with Evin were spent among the trees of his Geisha plot, right on the cusp of golden hour. Surrounded by the trees, we continued the conversations that had carried on throughout the day, about our thoughts on the future of coffee. Evin shared how the Geisha trees symbolise opportunities for his children that he, unfortunately, never had. Days spent on origin trips like this can completely transform your perspective on coffee buying. This is a super special lot to have on the menu.'
