Returning to Seven Seeds for a third season is shosh This impressive micro-release from producer Asman Arianto is an incredible showcase of coffee varieties local to the region; Ateng, Bor Bor, Timor and Catimor. For those new to Indonesian coffee, expect a clean, refreshing brew; like a bright splash of freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning.
Indonesia is a vast and diverse coffee-producing nation, with a harvest season that progresses west to east over an extended period. At the westernmost edge of the country, in West Sumatra, Asman Arianto’s farm is celebrated for its expertise in washed process coffee.
Asman leads the Asman Gayo Cooperative, a thriving community of over 350 dedicated members. His mission is to offer competitive prices that empower farmers to reinvest in their farms and families. Cooperative models like this create opportunities for producers, whether they harvest just a few kilograms of parchment or larger volumes, by providing access to the specialty coffee market and the economic benefits it brings. We are proud to play a part in this mission by bringing Indonesian coffee to our local audience.
